Roy Morgan

Roy Kenneth Morgan of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on February 11, 1938 in Potosi, a son to the late Dave T. Morgan and the late Gracie Maxine Marler. On October 22, 1958, Roy was united in marriage to Joyce Harbison and they shared fifty-nine years together.

Roy entered eternal rest on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital at the age of seventy-nine.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Joyce Morgan of the home; two sons: Kenny (Vicki) Morgan of Potosi; David (Marti) Morgan of Mineral Point; brother, Jim (Joyce) Morgan of Belgrade; four grandchildren: Hillary (Jason) Portell, Whitney Morgan and Blake Yount, Emily (Korey) Smith, Alex (Katie) Morgan; nine great-grandchildren: Drew, Kaiden, Hudson, Morgan, Braxton, Gracie, Xander, Cameryn and Carsyn; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Bill and Ruth Ann Harbison, Jim and Glenda Harbison, Rick and Debbie Harbison, Ruth Morgan; special sister, LaVern Bourbon; special family: Brenda (Vernum) Horn and Billy Golden; also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by four brothers: Melvin Morgan, Edmond Morgan, Charles Morgan and Raymond (Evelyn) Morgan; sister, Frances Crocker; father-in-law and mother-law: Earl and Margaret Harbison; special family friend, Glenda Golden.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. at the DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Wednesday, December 27, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 27, at 1 p.m. held at the DeClue Memorial Chapel.

Interment held at the Hopewell Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
