Roy ?Pete? Cain of Bismarck, Missouri, departed this life on April 6, 2009 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of fifty five years, three months and four days. He was born on January 2, 1954 at Mineral Point, Missouri, a son to the late Roy Cain and Allie Skaggs Cain.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Donald Cain and David Skaggs.
On April 19, 1997, Pete married Beverly Cantrell and they shared almost twelve years together. Pete was a hard worker. He was a kind and sweet man that would do anything he could to help anyone. He loved wood working, gardening and gospel music. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, a wonderful brother, uncle and the friend you always wanted.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life are his wife Beverly Cain of Bismarck; two sons Billy Cain and wife Jamie of Potosi; Daniel DeGonia and fianc? ?Mert? of Potosi; daughters Kelly Cain and Fianc? Troy Leftridge of Potosi; Kim Birdsong and husband Jerry of St. James; Dana Wells and husband Darren of Irondale; LaDonna Bond and husband Curtis of Iron Mountain; Narcissus Eckhoff and fianc? Mike Nickles of Potosi; six brothers John Cain of Park Hills, Evert Cain of Park Hills, Bob Cain of South Dakota, Wymen Cain of Kentucky, Ronald Cain of Potosi, Larry Skaggs of Potosi; seven sisters Elma Sheridan of Maine, Irene Kerns of Mississippi, Brenda Costello of Potosi, Linda Wynick of Potosi, Debbie Eckhoff of Potosi, Annie Groupe of Illinois, Joyce Carr of Washington; Dear Friend Mona Hammack of Bismarck; Step mother Maudie Cain of Potosi; twenty grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, April 10, 2009 at 1 PM at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Roy Adams officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Billy Cain, Jason Wright, Jim ?Bean? Golden, Darren Wells, Justin Wells and Rodney Nelson.
Interment and final prayers were held at New Diggins Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
