Rosie Skaggs

Rosie Skaggs of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on January 14, 1945 in St. Louis, a daughter to the late Albert Ellis and the late Rosalie (Young) Ellis. Rosie entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Georgian Gardens Nursing Home at the age of seventy-three.

In addition to her parents, Rosie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Samuel “Sammy” Skaggs; two granddaughters: Abbey Skaggs and Lorrie Kley; and her mother-in-law, Sarah Skaggs.

Rosie is survived by three sons: David (Joanie) Skaggs, Robert Skaggs and Michael Skaggs; brother, Charlie Ellis; eight grandchildren: Sabrina Skaggs, Keela Skaggs, David “Bubba” Skaggs Jr., Rose Skaggs, Stanley Skaggs, Jeff Skaggs, Robert Skaggs Jr. and Victoria Kley; also surviving are many great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Iva Kemper and brother-in-law, Donnie Skaggs.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 4:30-8:00 p.m. and Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the DeClue Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Don Strauser officiating.

Interment and final prayers will be held in the New Diggins Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted into the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at decluefuneralhome.com
