Rosie Hopping

Rosie Maxine Hopping of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on January 10, 2007 at Washington County Memorial Hospital, having reached the age of 78 years, 5 months and 22 days. She was born on July 19, 1928 at Steelville, Missouri, a daughter of the late James Pidcock and May (Bradford) Pidcock.

In addition to her parents, Rosie was preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers.

Rosie loved spending time with her family. She was a wonderful cook and her meals were enjoyed by many friends and family. She had a great sense of humor and lived her life to the fullest. She was a loving mom a grandmother and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include her daughter, Margaret Politte and husband Tommy of Potosi; two sons, David Hopping and wife Dorothy of Potosi, Faron Hopping and special friend Judy of Cuba; 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, January 12, 2007 at 10 AM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Mr. Carl Wilson. Serving as pallbearers were Faron Hoping, Jr., Doyle Hopping, Gerald Hopping, Randall Hopping, Cody Lawson and Tommy Politte.

Interment and final prayers were held at Redbud Memorial Gardens Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
