Rosemary Jarvis

November 16, 1921 — December 6, 2023

Rosemary Jarvis of Mineral Point, Missouri, was born on November 16, 1921 at the family home in Mineral Point, a daughter of the late John J. Coleman and the late Mary Jane (Bone) Coleman. Nan, as she was affectionately known by, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. Nan recently celebrated her birthday, having reached the age of 102.

Nan was united in marriage to the love of her life, Cecil Jarvis on February 10, 1940 and three children were born to this union. Nan was a hard worker and always helped support her family any way she could. She was employed by Brown Shoe Company in Potosi where she retired from. In her prime, Nan loved shopping and always dressed with class. She enjoyed many years of bowling with Cecil. She loved watching wrestling and the Bold and Beautiful. Nan had a knack for cooking and always could whip up the best chicken and dumplings, green beans, sweet potatoes and chocolate cake. Nan lived a fulfilled life. Her family finds solace in knowing that she is at rest, reunited with Cecil and most of all, she’s with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Those who remain to forever treasure her memory include her son, Larry Jarvis (wife, Sue); daughter, Rickie Sue Riddle (husband, Carl); daughter-in-law, Patricia Jarvis Medley (husband, Dennis); grandchildren: Vicki Portell (husband, Bryan), Carla Glatczak, Tommie Sue DeClue (husband, Jim), Mark Jarvis (wife, Cassie), Brandi Boyer (husband, Ben), Shannon Jarvis (wife, Shawnee), Matt Riddle, and Lacy Arndt (husband, Jeff); many great and great great grandchildren; sister, Alice "Pet" Jarvis (husband, C.D.). Nan also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Nan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cecil Jarvis on July 15, 2009; son, John Thomas Jarvis; brothers: Gerard Coleman, Sam Coleman, Lucian Coleman, Kenneth Coleman and Willis Coleman; sisters: Pearl Trokey Margaret Bowen.

The family would like to give a warm thank you to Khelsey for giving Nan such wonderful care. Your compassion towards her will never be forgotten.
