Rose Bridgeman

November 8, 1928 — March 13, 2016

Rose Bell Bridgeman of Farmington, Missouri passed away on March 13, 2016 at the Jefferson Memorial Hospital having reached the age of eighty seven years, three months, and five days. She was born on November 8, 1928, a daughter to the late Perry Nettles and the late Cora (Welch) Nettles.

Rose is survived by her four children: Mary Bridgeman of Farmington, John Bridgeman and wife Jenny of Farmington, Joyce Morgan and husband James of Belgrade, and Don Bridgeman and wife Debbie of Millersville, Missouri; one brother: Joe Nettles and wife Norma of Potosi; two sisters: Dollie Jenkens and Freda Stringer – both of Potosi; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and also many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Rose is preceded in death by the father of her children: Lee James Bridgeman; son: James A. “Buck” Bridgeman; one brother: Lester Nettles; five sisters: Frances Callahan, Elsie Henderson, Bertha Vance, Lucy Nettles, and Emmagen Nettles; one grandchild: David Lee Bridgeman; and one great grandchild: Matthew David Bridgeman.

Rose had many joys in her life. She loved going to church, cooking, dining out, music, dancing, and yard sales. She loved her family and wanted the best for them.

Visitation for Rose will be held on Thursday evening, March 17, 2016, from 4:30 until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Friday morning, March 18, 2016, beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of service.

A funeral service for Rose will begin at 1:00 PM on Friday, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Rev. Robert Wade officiating.

Honoring Rose by serving as her pallbearers will be James Morgan, Tim Morgan, Jimmy Bridgeman, James Williams, and Steve Bridgeman.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Sunset Hills Cemetery. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
