Rosalie Emerson

December 31, 1937 — July 14, 2012

Rosalie Emerson of Potosi, Missouri departed this life July 14, 2012 at The Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached 74 years, 6 months, and 13 days. Rosalie was a daughter of the late Edgar Muskopf and Bernice (Hoock) Rodenhofer.
Rosalie loved laughing and visiting with her family and friends. She wasn't one to ever complain and really knew how to light up a room. Some of her favorite past time activities were fishing and spending time with her bird, Pettie. She also was very interested in giraffes. Although she loved her sweets and especially ice cream, Rosalie loved having her back scratched. She also enjoyed western movies, especially the ones starring John Wayne.
Rosalie and Charlie were united in marriage in Arkansas on September 8, 1992. They shared nineteen wonderful years together. Rosalie loved Charlie, he was her soul mate. Charlie loved her pretty blue eyes and her gorgeous smile.
In addition to her parents Rosalie was preceded in death by a son Wayde Basse.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life are husband Charles Emerson of Potosi; Daughters Yvonne Mays of Illinois, Pattie Mosbacher of Illinois, and Angela Kaz of Illinois; Step Daughter Michelle Boiles of St. Peters, Missouri; Adopted daughter Debbie (Steve) Wilson of Potosi; Ten Grandchildren and Four Great-Grandchildren; Friends from grade school Lois and Don Thompson.
Visitation was held Monday July 16, 2012 from 4:30 PM- 8PM at the DeClue Chapel. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 11AM at the DeClue Chapel with Reverend John Ray officiating.
Interment and final prayers was held at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. All funeral arrangements were cared for by DeClue Funeral Home.
