Ronnie Dale Moses of Caledonia, Missouri departed this life on July 29, 2010 at his residence having reached the age of fifty four years and nine days. He was born on July 20, 1956 at Farmington, Missouri, a son to Alvena Brakefield and the late Dale Moses.
In addition to his father, Ronnie was preceded in death by an uncle Gilbert Moses. Gilbert was the most influential paternal figure in Ronnie’s life. Gib raised Ronnie as a son and taught him how to be a great husband, father, and son. Ronnie was forever grateful to Gilbert for being the father that he didn’t have to be.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are wife Kathie Moses of Caledonia; mother Alvena Thomas and step father Bill Thomas of Bland, Missouri; son Michael Moses and wife Olivia of Farmington; daughter Tina Moses of Leadington; four sisters Janice Weiss of Bismarck, Lesa Villmer and husband Tom of Farmington, Karen Gilliam and husband Jack of Carthage, Lois Haworth and husband Jim of Potosi; two grandsons Justin Moses and Sean Moses; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at 2 PM at DeClue Family Chapel with Rev. Jim West and Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Rodney Jones, Derrick Coleman, Billy Joe Martin, Michael Moses, Joey Yount, Nick Weiss, Jim Haworth, Jack Gilliam and Jordan Villmer. Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Smith, Tina Moses, Justin Moses, Paul Yount and Johnny Yount.
Interment and final prayers were held at Lost Creek Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
