Ronie Edgar Blair of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on June 20, 2007 at his residence, having reached the age of 88 years, 2 months and 26 days. He was born at Quaker, Missouri on March 25, 1919, a son of the late Bert Blair and Josephine Dawes Blair.
In addition to his parents, Ronie was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Carol Blair; a brother, Homer Blair; five sisters, Esther Thompson, Eva McClain, Lonnie Wilkins, Goldie Hensley and Ruby LaChance.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Potosi and an ordained Deacon since 1954. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved his family and his church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Blair of Potosi; one son, Ronie ?Buddy? Blair, Jr. of Potosi; four daughters, JoAnn Haguewood and husband Sonny of Potosi, Brenda Eaton of Potosi, Carolyn Caldwell and husband Jon of Bonne Terre, Marilyn Faulkner and husband Roger of Bloomsdale; twelve grandchildren, Michelle Boyer, Janette Hoffman, Kim Laramore, Pam Wilkinson, Jason Eaton, Jamie Haguewood, Bradley Blair, Kyle Faulkner, Kory Faulkner, Blair Caldwell, Seth Caldwell, Kristen Faulkner; twelve great-grandchildren, Lauren Laramore, Justin Laramore, Abby Haguewood, Kayleigh Angle, Emma Haguewood, Chase Boyer, Garrett Wilkinson, Jamison Haguewood, Tyson Eaton, Zane Hoffman, Wade Hoffman and Benjamin Haguewood; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 11AM at the Old First Baptist Church of Potosi with Rev. Jamie Haguewood, Rev. Roger Faulkner and Rev. Jeff Richards officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Kyle Faulkner, Kory Faulkner, Seth Caldwell, Bradley Blair, Jason Eaton, Justin Laramore; honorary pallbearers, Chase Boyer, Garrett Wilkinson, Tyson Eaton, Zane Hoffman, Wade Hoffman, Jamison Haguewood and Benjamin Haguewood.
Interment and final prayers were held at Redbud Memorial Gardens, Potosi. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
