Ronald "Ronnie" Cash

November 21, 1949 — March 28, 2017

Ronald Gene Cash also known by family and friends as “Ronnie” was born on November 21, 1949 in Potosi, Missouri, a son to Lohma Strange and the late Bobby Gene Cash. Ronnie entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center having reached the age of sixty-seven years, four months and seven days.

Ronnie is survived by his son, Cory Cash and grandson, Clark Cash both of Annapolis, Maryland; mother and step father, Lohma and Frank Trokey of Potosi; three siblings: Karen Cash and husband Faisal Mansour of St. Louis; David Cash and companion Natalie Boyer of Imperial; Janet Cash-Koenig and husband Edwin of O’Fallon, Missouri; dear aunts and uncles: Rolla and Joyce Strange, Carl and Mary Strange and Donald and Janet Strange. nephew, Sean Mulvey and wife Brittany; nieces: Jody Cash and Nicki Mulvey; Great niece Lillian Alton, great nephew Paxton Mulvey and many cousins.

In addition to his father, Ronnie was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clifford and Mary Belle Cash; maternal grandparents, Roy and Hallie Strange; uncle, Charles Strange; aunts: Mary Strange, Wanda Laramore.

Ronnie graduated from Potosi High School in 1967 at the age of 17. He went on to attend William Jewel College in Liberty, MO where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree. While teaching in Blue Springs, MO he enrolled at Central Missouri State in Warrensburg, MO and received his Master's Degree.

Ronnie taught school and coached football for many years. He loved his students and his students loved him. However, he made a tough decision and decided to leave teaching and began his career as a successful salesman for various companies.

Ronnie’s hobbies included boating, water skiing and golfing as often as he could with his family and friends. He even made 3 hole in ones.

Perhaps his greatest accomplishments and proudest part of his life were his son Cory and his grandson Clark.

Ronnie will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Memorial Visitation was held on Sunday, April 9, from 2-3 p.m. at the Potosi First Assembly of God, 803 North Missouri Street, Potosi, Missouri 63664. A Celebration of Life Ceremony was held at 3 p.m. with Pastor Gary Petty officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to any organization of your choice in Memory of Ronnie.
