Ronald Nash

December 5, 1951 — April 10, 2011

Ronald Dale Nash, Sr. of Cadet, Missouri departed this life on April 10, 2011 at the St. John’s Mercy Medical Center having reached the age of fifty nine years, four months and five days. He was born on December 5, 1951 at Mineral Point, Missouri a son to the late John Francois Nash and Elizabeth Vandergriff.

Ron was a life long resident of Washington County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising a big garden, raising his pigs and riding his 4-wheeler.

He loved spending time with his family and friends. If it was bar-b-quing or just sitting on the back porch with them. His favorite pastime was landscaping with his son, bar-b-quing for Jody and watching syfy with Kim.

He touched many lives in many different ways. He was a hard worker, a great man and was always there to lend a helping hand. He was loved so much by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his stepfather Charles Topping, four brothers Arthur Nash, Earnest Nash, Leonard Nash, Bobby Nash and a sister Delores Cain.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are his Fiancé Treasa Portell of Cadet; two daughters Kim Robinson of Bonne Terre, Jody Nash of Bonne Terre, son Ron Nash, Jr. and wife Sarah of Bonne Terre; step daughter Brenda Freeland and husband Joe of Potosi, Step son Eddie Portell and wife Lorie Ann of Texas; four sisters Maudie Cain of Potosi, Leona Pickett and husband Henry of Cadet, Lorene Saunders of Springfield, Rhoda Eckhoff of Cadet; fourteen grandchildren Caleb Nash, Madisyn Nash, Sophia Nash, Lacey Corbett, Taylor Robinson, Andrea Robinson, Collin Robinson, Paige Nash, Michael Freeland, Angel Freeland, Ashley Portell, Reanna Lands, Madison Portell, Colson Portell; three great grandchildren Maylene Corbett, Annie, Lilly; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 2PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Johnny Emily officiating.

All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
