Ronald Lee Cooley, Sr. of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on November 28, 2006 at his residence, having reached the age of 64 years, 8 months and 19 days. He was born on March 9, 1942 at St. Louis, Missouri, a son of Alpha Marie (Sellers) Cooley and the late Noah Raymond Cooley.
Ron was a loving and devoted son, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family. He was a retired Navy Veteran and a longtime employee of the U.S. Postal Service. He was also a member of the Elks and the Eagles Organizations.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his sons, Ron Cooley, Jr. and wife Daphne of Marshall, Missouri, Jeff Cooley and wife Christina of Potosi; his daughter, Sherry Patterson and husband Dean of Festus; his mother, Marie Cooley of Herculaneum; a brother Donald Cooley and wife Angie of Foley, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Nikki Cooley, Conner Cooley, Deanna Patterson, Nick Patterson, Matt Patterson, MiKayla Patterson, Brianna Cooley, Austin Cooley and Ashley Kirby.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Bill Brammer officiating.
Interment and final prayers were held at Sellers Cemetery, Davisville, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
