Roger Suttles

Roger Dale Suttles of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on January 22, 1966, a son to Joseph Suttles and the late Carol Sue (Stringer) Suttles. Roger entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at his residence having reached fifty-two years of age.

In addition to his mother, Roger is preceded in death by his brother, Clayborne Suttles.

Roger will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his father, Joseph Suttles; siblings: Terry (Carla) Suttles, Peggy Gajdosik and Ben Holbrook, Bryan Suttles, Stanley (Sadonya) Suttles, and Crystal Suttles; also surviving are many dear nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Roger was an amazing son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew and a close, wonderful friend to many. He loved his family, friends and baby girls (his dogs) more than anything. He loved tormenting you, especially when he knew it was bothering you – that’s how he was and no one would change it for anything. Roger was always the life of every event and could brighten anyone’s day. Amanda, one of Roger’s close friends, described him best – “Roger was the captain of his own ship, no one compared to him – he did things his own way. He wore his heart on his sleeve and held his opinions on the tip of his tongue, but they didn’t ever stay there. He was the sparkle of every party.” Roger loved to be loved and invested all of that love in return. He was unique, spunky, hilarious and so huggable. Roger was outstanding and his personality was infectious. He will be greatly missed and always loved.

The family received friends on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM and on Monday, August 20, 2018, beginning at 10:00 AM at DeClue Funeral Home. A funeral service to honor Roger was held on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Monroe “Kenny” Gamble as officiate.

Honoring Roger by serving as his pallbearers were Chad Wallis, Jonathon Parmley, Eric Suttles, Cody Suttles, Larry Harmon, Jr., Trevor Suttles, and Greg Edinger. Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi. All funeral arrangements have been cared for DeClue Funeral Home.
