Roger Montgomery

Roger Louis Montgomery of Park Hills, Missouri departed this life on December 21, 2008 at the Jefferson Memorial Hospital having reached the age of seventy six year, eight months and three days. He was born April 18, 1932 at Caledonia, Missouri, a son of the late Louis Ivan Montgomery and Hazel Genevieve Rogers Montgomery.

On June 30, 1956, Roger married Barbara Orr and they shared fifty two years together. He was in the United States Airforce and served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Masonic Tyro Lodge #12. He retired from McQuay-Norris MFG. Company after thirty one years of service.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his wife Barbara Montgomery of Park Hills; two sons David Montgomery and wife Merry Kay of Fenton; Martin Montgomery and wife Judy of St. Louis; brother Jackie Lee Montgomery and wife Virginia of Caledonia; sister Reva Carol Jones and husband Harold of Arcadia; grandchildren Richard, Kevin and Cara; great grandchildren Richard and Casey; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 AM Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Ken Goodwin officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Kevin Montgomery, Richard Montgomery, Mike Cooley, Greg Cooley, Caleb Cooley and Bert Cooley.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
