Roger Hal Deckard Jr. of Sullivan, Missouri, was born on June 21, 1960 in St Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Roger Hal Deckard Sr, and the late Carol (Fritz) Reeves. Roger passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, having reached the age of 63.
Those who remain to cherish his memory include his wife, Anita Deckard; children: Jennifer Brant (husband, Cory) of House Springs, Daniel Handlang of House Springs, Angela Baltzell (husband, Wesley) of Sullivan, Nicole Murphy (husband, William) of Potosi, Matthew Deckard (wife, Jennifer) of Old Mines; grandchildren: Taylor, Riley, Alan, Alyssa, Samantha, Isabella M, Sophia, Grant, Isabella D, Mattalynn, Evan, and Felicity; siblings: Angela Gamewell (husband, Steve), and Christina Burgess. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Roger was preceded in death by his father, Roger Deckard Sr, mother, Carol Reeves (husband, Ronald); brother, Ralph Deckard; and grandson, William George Handlang.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 5 pm held at St. Martin United Church of Christ, 3229 High Ridge Blvd., High Ridge, MO 63049.
