Rodney Yarbrough

Rodney Stacey Yarbrough was born February 27, 1949 in Bonne Terre, Missouri, a son to the late Arthur Yarbrough and Ione Nickelson Yarbrough. On Friday, December 23, 2011 Rodney passed away at his home in Ebo, Missouri.

Rodney served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. During his service he received the following awards: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Bronze Star Medal.

On May 6, 2007 Rodney was united in marriage to Joy Cain.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Joy Yarbrough of Potosi; son Bryan Yarbrough of St. Louis; step sons Judson Smith of St. Louis; Kyle Johnson of Potosi; daughters Tina Dicus and husband Chris of Potosi; Beth Stafford and husband Mike of Fredericktown; step daughter Crystal Cantrell and husband James of Potosi; sister Jackie Freymuth and husband Bill of Potosi; seven grandchildren and many other relatives who will sadly miss him. In addition to his parents, Rodney was preceded in death by baby grandson Holden Stafford, a baby sister and sister Polly Woods.

A graveside service was conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2011 at the Souls Chapel Cemetery where Rodney received Full Military Honors consisting of twenty one gun solute, taps, flag folding and presentation. Honors were given by the United States Army and Local VFW Post #6996 members.
