Rodney Schrum

Rodney William Schrum of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on March 15, 2013 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of eighty one years, eight months and twenty six days. He was born on June 17, 1931 in Undine, Missouri a son to the late Harry Schrum and Grace (Sullivan) Schrum.

In addition to his parents, Rodney was preceded in death by his wife Joan Schrum; three sisters Gladys Blount, Blanch Thompson, Maude Badgley; seven brothers Houston Schrum, Lloyd Schrum, Elmer Schrum, Harold Schrum, Ralph Schrum, Earl Schrum and Lindell Schrum.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are a son Kermit Schrum of Potosi; two daughters Yolanda Knupp and husband Kenny of Potosi; Audria Mesey and husband Johnny of Centralia, Missouri; two brothers Scottie Schrum and wife June of Caledonia, Paulie Schrum of Potosi; five grandchildren Kermit Schrum, Jr. and wife Heidi of Potosi; Kiley Blair and husband Shannon of Potosi; Teresa Donahue and husband Justin of Centralia; Johnny Mesey of Centralia; Nick Mesey of Cenralia; seven great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 11 AM at the DeClue chapel with Rev. Lynn Thebeau officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Kenny Knupp, Johnny Mesey, Jeff Ranson, Kermit Schrum, Jr., Johnny Mesey, Jr. and Nick Mesey.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
