Robert Lee Rogers of Mineral Point, Missouri, was born on October 5, 1944, in Belleville, Illinois, a son of the late John Rogers and the late Virginia (Winters) Rogers. Robert passed away on December 12, 2022, having reached the age of 78.
Those who remain to cherish his memory include his children: John (Tammy) Rogers, Kaven (Samantha) Snyder, Joyce (Darren) Hilmes, Lisa Faugh, Robert “Buddy” Rogers; daughter-in-law, Kim Rogers; eighteen grandchildren: Justin, Jeralyn, Andrew, Wyatt, Mitchell, Bailey, Dallas, Lakota, Christopher, Devin, Jenna, Zach, Abby, Dedrick, Hailey, Megan, Savannah, Joseph, and Aiden; seven great-grandchildren: Owen, Macie, Sloane, Aarynn, Grantly, Ryker, and Harper; sister, Joyce; and caretaker, Mindy Short.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Patty Ann Rogers; son, Martin “Marty” Rogers; two brothers, Roy and Doug Rogers.
Bob was proud of his family—he loved his children and grandchildren. Bob was a great caregiver to his late wife, Patty, during her illness. Bob always enjoyed watching a good Cardinals baseball game as well as NASCAR. He proudly served in the United States Navy. Bob was proud that his son, Kaven, followed after his footsteps in the military.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
