Robert Wesley Palmer of Belgrade, Missouri departed this life on December 14, 2005 at the Farmington Presbyterian Manor, having reached the age of 83 years and 22 days. He was born in Belgrade, Missouri on November 22, 1922, a son of the late George Palmer and Martha (Walton) Palmer.
On December 22, 1947, he was united in marriage to Gertrude Marie ?Pete? Walton in Pocahontas, Arkansas. Bob was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents and wife, Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, Max Palmer and Lynton Palmer.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his daughter, Doris Jenkins and her husband Eddie of Potosi; a sister-in-law, June Martin of Belgrade; a brother, Leonard Palmer of Belgrade; three grandchildren, Rick Jenkins and wife Dana of Farmington, Rob Jenkins and wife Susan of St. Peters, and Jamie Meinershagen and husband Shawn of Terre Du Lac; five great grandchildren, Justin, Josh and Paige Jenkins and Jacob and Ivy Meinershagen; nieces; nephews and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 PM on Friday, December 16, 2005 at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Tyler Walton, Tyson Walton, Tim Walton, John Walton, Rob Jenkins and Mike Jinkerson.
Interment and final prayers were held at Belgrade United Methodist Cemetery, Belgrade, Missouri.
