Robert R. Midgett of St. Louis, Missouri departed this life on October 20, 2011 at the Christian Northeast Hospital peacefully in the arms of his loving wife Margaret of fifty nine years, surrounded by their four daughters Sharon Midgett, Patricia (Robert) Scanlon, Angela (Reginald) Mitchell, Leisa (Brian) Hemmer.
Bobby Ray was seventy nine years, ten months and eleven days and was born on December 9, 1931 at Quaker, Missouri a son to the late James Hance Midgett and Ada Catherine (Jennings) Midgett.
On June 13, 1952, Bobby Ray was united in marriage to Margaret E. Wigger and they shared fifty nine years together.
Bobby Ray loved being outdoors; hunting, fishing, yard work and his beagles. He enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and happy times with his family and time spent with his hunting buddies Warren Studt and Charlie Diggs.
Bob and Margaret were high school sweethearts. In 1949, Margaret took his breath away and sixty two years later, he gave her his last. He will be deeply missed by all.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by an infant baby sister; sister Carrie A. Brand; brother Hadley L. Midgett; brother in law Norton Brand and a sister in law Lora Midgett.
Survivors are wife Margaret Midgett; daughters Sharon Midgett; Patricia (Robert) Scanlon; Angela (Reginald) Mitchell; Leisa (Brian) Hemmer; sisters Nellie Miller; Galena (David) Pischell; he was a dear brother to Max (Ali Bea) Midgett; dear grandfather to Stephanie, Gregory, Patrick, Jordan, Joshua, Justin, Cameron, Anthony; dear great grandfather to Hayley, Emily, Jaxson; dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Funeral services were held on held Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 1 pm at the DeClue Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Charlie Wigger, Philip Wigger, Tommy Wigger, Bob Scanlon, Jordan Cooper, Gregory Midgett, Brian Hemmer, Reggie Mitchell, Patrick Boulton, Josh Hemmer, Justin Hemmer and Anthony Mitchell.
Interment and final prayers were held Antioch Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
