Robert Amos Mayfield of Cadet, Missouri, was born on July 9, 1941 in Potosi, Missouri, a son of the late Amos Mayfield and the late Alice (King) Mayfield. Robert passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, having reached the age of eighty-one.
Those who remain to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Carolyn Mayfield; children: Randy Mayfield (wife, Bridgett), Kelly Sparks (husband, Ken), Daniel Mayfield; two step sons: Jim Cohen, David Cohen; six grandchildren: Michael Kley, Victoria Kley, Justice Mayfield, Emma Mayfield, Robert Mayfield, and Landon Mayfield; four great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; siblings: Peggy Nicholson, Judy Littrell-Mathinia, and Jane Owens. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his step son, William Farris; siblings: Larry Mayfield, Lucille Thurston, Jimmy Mayfield, Bonnie Neubauer, and Geraldine King; and many other dear relatives.
Robert loved fishing, camping, and staying busy working, especially his career.
Visitation for Robert will be Monday, November 14, 2022, from 5 to 8 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from 9 to 11 am.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 11 am. Interment will follow at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery with full military honors by the United States Army and VFW Post 6947.
