Robert James Fann, Sr. of Hopewell, Missouri departed this life on September 2, 2008 at his residence, having reached the age of 76 years, 10 months and 19 days. He was born on October 14, 1931 at Potosi, Missouri, a son of the late Nolan Edward Fann and Edna Bernice Wilkinson Fann.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his wife Arlene Fann; a son Robert Fann, Jr. and wife Rebecca of Iowa; a daughter Brenda and husband David Gross of Independence, Missouri; sisters Violet and husband Rev. Phillip Wade, Eileen and husband Robert Wade, Elvira and husband Don Hinkle, Gale Breakfield, Elmita and husband Billy Gensler all of Mineral Point; 4 grandchildren Jason Butler, Robert Fann III, Joseph Fann and Ciarra Gross; 2 great grandchildren Aristotle Butler and Nicholas Butler; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Hopewell Church of God with Rev. Jim Wade officiating.
All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
