Rita Ann Davis of Leadington, Missouri, formerly of Potosi, was born on March 1, 1950 a daughter to Laura (Hedrick) Bourbon and the late Dudley William Bourbon. On Tuesday, November 20, 2018, Rita left the struggles and burdens of this life behind and joined her son in Heaven.
Rita is survived by her three sons: William Fowler and Jim Anderson, David (Teri) Fowler, John Paul (Mercedes) Fowler; her beloved mother, Laura “Lucy” Bourbon; ten grandchildren: Regina Breakfield, Samuel Province, David Fowler Jr., Miriah Fowler, Tabitha Fowler, Shania Fowler, Jordan Fowler, David Brooks, Olivia Fowler, Nick Fowler; numerous great grandchildren; seven siblings: Raymond (Inge) Bourbon, James (Bonnie) Bourbon, Roger Bourbon and Diane, Paul (Mary) Bourbon, DeWayne Bourbon, Frances Hawkins and Ralph Gillam, Freda Witcher; sister-in-law, Carol Bourbon; also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In addition to her father, Rita was preceded in death by her son, Russell Fowler; brothers: Tom and Billy Bourbon; and sister, Alice Danback.
Rita was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, daughter and friend. She dedicated her final years to taking diligent care of her mother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the DeClue Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will follow Tuesday, at 1 p.m. held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel.
Interment and final prayers will be held in the Upper Indian Creek Cemetery, Viburnum. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
