Riley James Darrin Goodson of Belgrade, Missouri, was born on December 26, 2001 in Festus, Missouri, a son of Lonnie Goodson and Barb (Scott) Goodson. Riley passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, having reached the age of twenty years, and ten months.
Those who remain to cherish his memory include his mother, Barb Goodson; father, Lonnie Goodson; maternal grandparents: Lawrence Scott, and Edna Moses; siblings: Nathan Goodson, Timidel Lauraine, Misty Goodson, and Amanda Goodson; nieces and nephews: Tristan, Lydia, Bailey, and Hannah; special aunts and uncles: Donna Scott (Carl Hulsey), Bev Hinch (Joe), Kim Bradley (Chris), Caro Lee (Larry), Sonnie Goodson, Darrin Portell (Noreen). Also surviving are cousins, and a host of friends.
Riley was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Art Goodson, Marian Watson, and Bill Moses; uncles: Tim “Buddy” West, and Lennie Goodson.
Riley loved playing video games, and basketball for Valley High School. He always used his height to his advantage while playing basketball. He also played the tuba in the band. He attended VoTec and mastered in welding, which made him like working with metal. Riley was the most affectionate guy, and will be missed.
A Visitation will be Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 11 am to 1 pm, at DeClue Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 1 pm, officiated by Elder Leonard Compton, assisted by Judy Bell. Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Potosi.
