Richard M. Woods Sr. age 87, of Potosi, Missouri passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014 at the NHC Healthcare in Desloge. He was born on August 17, 1927 in Washington County a son to the late Charles Woods and Lura (Marler) Woods.
Richard was united in marriage to Marcella Lawson on August 18, 1945 in Ironton, Missouri.
He is survived by four sons Richard M. Woods and wife Jane of Park Hills, Mo.; Dale Woods and wife Joan of BonneTerre, Mo.; David W. Woods and wife Belinda of Edwardsville, Illinois and Ed Lawson and wife Belinda of Florida; brother Raymond Woods; eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marcella Woods; two grandson's Nicholas Woods and Mark Woods.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 4:30-8:00 PM and Monday, October 20, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the DeClue Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 20, 2014 at 1:00 PM held at the DeClue Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Mo.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Furnace Creek Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were respectfully cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
