Richard Seifert

Richard Elmo Seifert of Park Hills, Missouri departed this life on June 4, 2008 at National Health Care Center, Desloge, Missouri, having reached the age of sixty-five years, three months, and eight days. He was born on February 27, 1943 at Madison, Illinois, a son of the late Clarence Elmo Seifert and Forest Ada (Harris) Seifert.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Danny Brooks; a sister, Marie Hooker; and a brother, Noel Pyatt.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his wife, Cicily Seifert of Park Hills; his children, Kaitlyn Seifert of Park Hills, Tammy Poetting of St. Ann, David Seifert and wife, Sandy of Owensville, Scott Seifert and wife, Tishka of Sullivan, Tina Curtis and husband, David of Owensville, Kristie Bunch of Belle, Kristopher Seifert and fianc? Amanda Guinn of Belle, Trent Brooks and wife, Becca of Potosi, Teddy Brooks of Park Hills; a sister, Frieda Simmons of Collinsville, Illinois; a brother, Harrison Bettorf of Jerseyville, Illinois; a special niece, Sharon Hubbard of Fairview Heights, Illinois; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, June 6, 2008 at 11 AM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Kristopher Seifert, David Seifert, Scott Seifert, Trent Brooks, Teddy Brooks and Joey Worden.

Interment and final prayers were held at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi, Missouri.
