RENA MAE BISHOP OF BISMARK, MISSOURI PASSED AWAY JUNE 4, 2013 AT THE PARKLAND HEALTH CENTER HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF NINTY SIX YEARS, SIX MONTHS AND FOUR DAYS. RENA MAE WAS BORN ON JANUARY 22, 1917. A DAUGHTER TO THE LATE JOHN FURRY AND BESSIE RICHARDS.
ON APRIL 23, 1993, RENA MAE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO FLOYD V. BISHOP AND THEY SHARED TWENTY YEARS TOGETHER.
RENA MAE WAS A LONG TIME MEMBER OF THE CALEDONIA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH AND THE CALEDONIA TYRO CHAPTER #321 ORDER OF THE EASTERN STAR.
RENA MAE CURRENTLY RESIDED AT THE ASH BROOK ASSISTED LIVING IN FARMINGTON WHERE SHE ENJOYED HER TIME THERE MEETING FRIENDS.
THOSE REMAIN TO CELEBRATE HER LIFE INCLUDE HER STEP DAUGHTERS MARY SUE BISHOP; CAROLYN OSBORN AND HUSBAND DEAN; JUDY BISHOP; JOANN ANDRES AND HUSBAND THOMAS; TWO STEP SONS RUDY BISHOP; FLOYD V. BISHOP JR. AND WIFE LAURA; ONE BROTHER CALVIN FURRY NIECE MARY LOU AKERS; NEPHEW LINDELL AKERS; SIXTEEN GRANDCHILDREN AND TWENTY THREE GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND MANY WONDERFUL NEICES, NEPHEWS, AND FRIENDS AND NIEGHBORS WHO LOOKED AFTER HER.
IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS, SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER BELOVED HUSBAND, FLOYD V. BISHOP; STEP SON BILLY JAKE BISHOP AND A STEP GRANDSON CHAD BISHOP.
VISITATION WILL BE HELD FROM 4:30-8 PM THURSDAY, JUNE 6, 2013 AT THE DECLUE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
A FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 11 AM FRIDAY, JUNE 7, 2013 AT THE DECLUE MEMORIAL CHAPEL. HONORING RENA MAE AS PALLBEARERS WERE DEAN OSBORN, DENNIS OSBORN, THOMMY ANDRES, II, RUDY BISHOP, FLOYD BISHOP, JR. AND JACE OSBORN.
INTERMENT AND FINAL PRAYERS WERE HELD AT THE CALEDONIA METHODIST CEMETERY. FOLLOWING THE COMMITELL SERVICE THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS GATHERED AT THE CALEDONIA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH FOR A LUNCHEON.
ALL FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS WERE RESPECTULLY CARED FOR BY THE DECLUE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI, MISSOURI.
