Regina Allen

February 4, 1970 — September 9, 2013

Regina Kay Allen of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on September 9, 2013 having reached the age of forty three years, seven months and five days. She was born on February 4, 1970 in Farmington, Missouri a daughter to Gary Dale Gillam and Judy (Boring) Allen.

Regina was preceded in death by grandparents Dewey & Sarah Gillam, Wesley & Mollie Boring; uncle Jesse Boring; father and mother in law Wendell & Ruby Allen; three uncles Carl Gillam, Charles & Annie Gillam, Kermit Eugene Gillam; two aunts Virginia Keeton and Maggie Conley.

On April 19, 1991, Regina was united in marriage to Denny Allen and they shared twenty two years together.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are her husband Denny Allen of Potosi; mother Judith Allen of Bellview; father and step mother Gary Gillam and Shirley of Courtois; mother like aunt Jo Gillam; brother Danny Joe Gillam of Viburnum; sister like cousin Carla Bollinger; two step brothers David McClain of Steelville, Chris McClain and wife Tiffany of Marshfield; two sisters in law Bev Bowen of Potosi, Kim Wiggins of Potosi; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

The Allen's and Gillam's have always been together from going to church at Mission Ridge to Camping at Red Bluff Campground. Gina chased Denny up and down the Huzzah many years. Every time Denny would leave to go fishing, there was Gina with her fishing pole and worms ready to go with him. Unlike most girls, she was right there to help clean the fish as well. Denny always told her that she came out of the womb chasing him and that he eventually got too old to run and tripped and fell.

Gina was saved and baptized at the Mission Ridge Baptist Church, where she was a member until her death. Gina always had a love for God's creation, from animals to plants. She never turned a stray away. She had a love for camping. In 2000, her in-laws, Wendell and Ruby, began managing Red Bluff Campground, she was there helping out with everything from collecting money to cleaning bathrooms. Even after her paralysis, she was there doing what she could.

After her mother, Judy, married Denny's dad, there were many laughs from watching people's faces when they would find out that Gina was married to her brother.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 11 AM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Claude Evans and Rev. Don Akers officiating.

All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made for funeral expenses.
