Redia Robinson

July 15, 1925 — September 8, 2012

Redia Gurlean Robinson of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on September 8, 2012 at her residence having reached the age of eighty seven years, one month and twenty four days. She was born on July 15, 1925 in Belgrade, Missouri a daughter to the late Charles Bowles and Edna (Head) Bowles.

In addition to her parents, Gurlean was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Robinson, step son Charles Robinson, step daughter Carolene Mallow, daughter in law Ruby Lawson, granddaughter Lena Lawson, three great grandsons Kyle Darling, Riley Lawson, Cameron Robinson, three sisters Betty Dotson, Carol Large, Viola Bodimer, four brothers in law Bill Bodimer, Danny Brawley, Slim Dotson, Gerald Large and one sister in law Wilma Bowles.

Gurlean was a member of the Ozark Heights Baptist Church.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are her four sons Eugene (Doris) Lawson of Cadet, Floyd (Sharon) Lawson of Caledonia, Lloyd (Connie) Lawson of Potosi, Terry (Patti) Lawson of Potosi; daughter Linda Smith of St. Louis; daughter in law Patsy Beezley of Jacksonville, Texas; two brothers Marvin (Rita) Bowles Sr. of Bonne Terre; Ivan Bowles of Potosi; four sisters Georgenia Gilliam of Potosi, Shirley Davis of Hopewell, Joyce Dodson of Hopewell, Marple Brawley of Naples, Florida; grandchildren Chris Lawson, Tammy Blair, Michelle Vickers, Kimberly Macklin, Steven Lawson, Dusty Mallow, Lisa Lawson, Eric Lawson, Alicia Tollar, Jeremy Lawson, Nathan Lawson, Dana Zahraee, Barry Robinson, Bruce Robinson, Brent Robinson, Byron Robinson, Betsy Roberts, Becky Erickson; nine great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Special "Thank You" to Donna Kean for the loving care she gave "Ma".

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 1 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Bryan Meade and Elder Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Terry Lawson, Nathan Lawson, Eugene Lawson, Steve Lawson, Chris Lawson and Byron Robinson. Honorary pallbearers were Barry Robinson, Bruce Robinson, Dusty Mallow and Jeremy Lawson.

Interment and final prayers were held at Redbud Memorial Gardens. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
