Rebecca Threewit

Rebecca Jean Threewit of Memphis, Tennessee departed this life on April 9, 2009 at the Saint Francis Hospital having reached the age of seventy two years, four months and twenty five days. She was born on November 15, 1936 at Little Rock, Arkansas, a daughter to the late William Chaney and Lorabell Ferris.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson Jeffrey Flaherty and a brother Jody Chaney.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life are three daughters Destiny Flaherty of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Susan Guy of Memphis, Tennessee, Robin Scarbrough and husband Victor of Hot Springs, Arkansas; six sons James Guy of Poplar Bluff, Patrick Flaherty of San Diego, California, Jeffrey Flaherty of California, Michael Flaherty of California, Clayton Threewit of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Denny Bernstein of Mexico; four sisters Shirley Kean of Mineral Point, Linda Chaney of Texas, Patsy Chaney of California, Jane Butrous of California; seven grandchildren Rebecca Fields, Todd Guy, Cody Threewit, Matthew Threewit, Dylan Threewit, Amanda Flaherty and Phoenix; two great grandchildren Joshua Guy and Jack Guy; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel with Pastor Connie Carrigan officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Steve Kean, Albert Kean, Jeffrey Flaherty, Patrick Flaherty, Van Kean, Lee King and Tony Kean.

Interment and final prayers were held at the New Diggins Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
