Raymond King

Raymond William King of Ironton, Missouri departed this life on November 5, 2008 at John J. Pershing V.A. Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, having reached the age of fifty eight years, ten months and twenty one days. He was born on December 15, 1949 at Potosi, Missouri, a son of the late Willis King and Mary Trokey King.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Ruby Gibson; four brothers Richard King, Terry King, Gary King and Danny King.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his life long friend Nita Emily of Ironton; four brothers Jeff King of Ironton, Bill King of Mineral Point, Jim King and wife Graie of North Carolina, Perry King and wife Betty of Potosi; nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 1 PM at the Britton Chapel, with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Terry Lee King, Jimmy Dale Trokey, Joe Trokey, Alfie King, Christopher Emily, Jr. and Alvin Gibson.

Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
