Ray Glore

July 21, 1955 — April 18, 2013

Ray Dean Glore, Sr. of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on April 18, 2013 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of fifty seven years, eight months and twenty eight days. He was born on July 21, 1955 in Stony Point, Missouri a son to the late Leslie E. Glore Sr. and Mary Marie (Degonia) Glore.

On July 17, 1981, Ray was united in marriage to Kimberly Cantrell and they shared thirty two years together.

Ray was a one of a kind man. He truly lived each day to the fullest. Everyone that he came in contact with usually left him with a smile. People lined up for his tormenting and he somehow made them want to be around him while he was doing so.

Ray was very entertaining. He had great talent playing the piano. Ray's gift of playing started at a young age and he thoroughly enjoyed sharing music his entire life. He enjoyed playing anywhere, but especially at church.

Ray loved his church and his church family. He was an excellent grandpa. The grandchildren were his joy. If you wanted to see Ray light up, all you would have to do is ask about the grandkids. They were his whole world. Ray also was very connected to all of his nieces and nephews. He loved and thought about them much. He actually believed they all belonged to him. Truthfully, some of them acted so much like him you would have thought that they were his. He loved them all deeply-and hopefully, Ray had an impact on all their lives.

Ray enjoyed nature and deer hunting with the guys in the family. He looked forward all year long to that one week. After that week had past Ray started planning for the next years hunting trip.

Ray loved working in his yard and planting flowers. He couldn't wait each year for the first hyacinth or tulip to come up and start blooming.

Most importantly Ray recently gave his heart back to the Lord. He enjoyed the church services and ministered for the Lord through the piano. Ray loved serving the Lord and doing his work.

Ray is survived by his loving and devoted wife Kim Glore of Mineral Point; son Timmy (Edgar) Glore and wife Jamie of Farmington; daughter Deidre Tindall and husband Paul of Potosi; two sisters Bonnie Pyatt and husband Bob of Potosi, Barbara Summers of Potosi; two brothers Roger Glore and wife Sharon of Mineral Point, Bill Glore and wife Reda of Kimberling City, Missouri; mother in law Helen Cantrell, sister in law Diane Cantrell, brother in law Austin Cantrell and wife Lisa; eight grandchildren Faith, Abi, Zoe, Eli, Lilly, Tory, Mattea, Romayn; many special nieces and nephews who were more like daughters and sons, and many of friends. Ray will sadly be missed by all who know and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by son Ray Dean "Bruno" Glore, father in law Sam Cantrell, brother Leslie E. Glore, Jr and an infant sister.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 2 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Steve Campbell and Rev. Keith King officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Matt Cantrell, Mike Missey, Baue Missey, Justin Harbison, Justin Degonia, Mikey Glore and Darron Swanson. Honorary pallbearer Jerry Bud Rea Austin King and Dillan King.
