Ralph Roscoe Scott of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on September 11, 2007 at his residence, having reached the age of 88 years 10 months and 18 days. He was born on October 24, 1918 at Festus, Missouri, a son of the late Jesse Manson Scott and Rose Belle (Rosencrantz) Scott.
On May 7, 1940, Ralph was united in marriage to Esther Dicus. They shared over sixty seven years together. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was a Minister and preached for many years. He loved his Church, Potosi Pentecostal Holiness Church, he loved his family and he loved having his church family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Scott, five brothers and six sisters.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his wife, Esther Scott of Mineral Point, his daughter, Sylvia Miller of Mineral Point; two sons, Warren Scott and wife Florence of Mineral Point, Donald Scott of Mineral Point; daughter in-law Patsy Scott of Potosi; twenty grandchildren; thirty seven great-grandchildren; twelve great great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 11 AM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. David Bridgeman and Rev. Charlie Williams officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Warren Scott, Donald Scott, Terry Rulo, Spinner Declue, Sonny Lamkey and Amiel Bridgeman.
Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
