Rachel Stuthers

Rachel Ellen Stuthers, of Festus, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at her daughters home, having reached the at of 80 years, 2 months, and 14 days. Rachel was born on June 20, 1944 in Potosi, a daughter to the late Lewis Pashia and Mary Elizabeth (Beyatte) Pashia.

Those who remain to treasure her memory include her daughter, Janice Hill of Festus, MO; two grandsons: Cody Hill and Shelbi, and Joshua Hill and wife, Casey; two grandchildren: Caiden and Kinley Hill; and her dear sister, Lorene Boyster of Potosi. Rachel also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to her father and mother, Rachel was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Leon Stuthers; son-in-law, Ronald Hill; five brothers: Lonnie Pashia, Raymond Pashia, Albert Pashia, Donald Pashia, and Lawrence Pashia; five sisters: Alene Farris, Omie Clemmons, Edna Ray, Virginia Pashia and Geraldine Farris; and many dear brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and family members.

Rachel enjoyed her flower garden and listening to old country music, especially Conway Twitty, Alan Jackson and many others. Rachel adored her grandsons and her great grandchildren. They were her life. Rachel loved making memories with her family especially when she got to travel to Tennessee where she was able to see the beauty of the Smoky Mountains as well as Destin, Florida. Rachel enjoyed the company of her puppy dogs: Rusty and Spike. She loved her family above all and cherished all the moments she was able to spend with them. She will be deeply missed and forever treasured.

A time of visitation will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024 from 10:30 am until the time of her Funeral Service at 1 pm, held at DeClue Funeral Home, 301 East High Street, Potosi, MO 63664. Interment and final prayers will follow at New Diggins Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
