Rev. Phillip Randel Weeks of Potosi, Missouri, departed this life on November 17, 2008, having reached the age of sixty years, ten months and twenty three days. He was born on December 25, 1947, a son of the late Jesse Lee Weeks and Helen Catherine Meeks Weeks.
He was united in marriage on March 21, 1966 to Rosa Cornelison and they shared forty two years together.
Phillip served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He pastored the Highway Chapel Ministries, Inc.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his wife Rosa Weeks of Potosi; daughter Debra Pickett of Leadwood; sons, Jeff Weeks and wife Candice of St. James; Phillip Weeks and wife Tammy of Terre Du Lac; Christain Isaiah Weeks of Potosi; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel, with Rev. Jerry Cornelison officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Weeks, Phillip Weeks, Brian Beck, Justin Beck, Nathaniel Weeks, Scott Bourbon and Eric Day.
Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
