Pearl Maethel Martin Cash Ziock Foree of Cadet, Missouri passed away December 13, 2007, at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home, having reached the age of eighty years, eleven months and eighteen days. She was born on December 25, 1926 in Irondale, Missouri, a daughter of the late Guy Thomas Martin and Birdie Mae (Henderson) Martin.
Pearl lived in Farmington a number of years before moving to St. Louis as a teenager. She worked for a Small Arms Plant during WWII. She and her first husband resided in Texas a short time before she returned to St. Louis. She and her second husband resided in Chesterfield, approximately 26 years. After his death she moved back to Washington County in 1980. Pearl loved gardening & reading. She traveled extensively in the United States (including Hawaii) & Mexico and also paid a visit to Canada during her lifetime.
Pearl was preceded in death by; her parents; three grandchildren; her first husband Sgt. Cecil J. Cash, who was killed in action during World war II; her second husband of 31 years, August Theodore Ziock; her third husband of 10 years Rudy Foree; two brothers, Arthur and William Martin; her grandparents, Margie Dicus, James Martin, Mattie Briley and James Henderson.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are her daughter, Esther Mae Ziock Carroll and husband Gene of Potosi; four brothers, James Martin of Bonne Terre, Carl Martin Clayton of Granite City, IL, Robert Martin of Mineral Point, Melvin Martin of Mineral Point; four sisters, Glenda Spradling of Festus, Cora Zimmermann of Rolla, Dorothy Belvins of Marble Hill, Gladys Young of Marble Hill; nieces; nephews and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 PM on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at the Britton Chapel, with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Melvin Martin, Glen Martin, Butch Martin, David Bouse, John Palmer and Pete Hamby,
Interment and finale prayers were at the Redbud Memorial Gardens, Potosi, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted in the care of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
