Pauline May McIver of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on Friday, November 24, 2006 at her residence, having reached the age of 63 years, 9 months and 19 days. She was born on February 5, 1943 at Potosi, Missouri, a daughter of the late Fred Woods and Goldie (Colyott) Woods.
In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by three sisters, Faye, Alice, May; and three brothers, Eddie, Bill and Freddie.
She loved to fish and spend time with her family. She also loved sewing and made custom draperies. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a dear sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include her husband Bobby McIver; a daughter, Penny Bievenue and husband Dwayne of Potosi; two sons John Spivey of Potosi and Rick Spivey of Kansas City, MO; two stepdaughters, Debbie McIver of Dupo, IL and Sandy McIver of St. Louis; a stepson Tim McIver and wife Patty of Farmington; a brother, Melton Woods of Mineral Point; a sister Rosie Woods of Potosi; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 PM on Monday, November 27, 2006 at the Britton Chapel in Potosi, with Rev. Joe Gensler officiating. Serving as pallbearers by special request were her three children who she carried into the world and would be honored to carry her out were, Ricky Spivey, John Spivey and Penny Bievenue, also serving were William Wade, Junior woods and Tim McIver. Interment and final prayers were held at New Diggins Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
