Pauline Crawford

Pauline Rose Crawford of Belgrade, Missouri departed this life on November 27, 2008 at Georgian Gardens Nursing Home, having reached the age of eighty seven years, ten months and twenty three days. She was born on January 4, 1921 at Belgrade, Missouri, a daughter of the late William Everret Tedder and Fannie Stephens Tedder.

She was a faithful Sunday School teacher throughout her life. Hospitality was her special gift. She was always ready to feed and care for those visiting preachers, evangelists and missionaries who visited their church. She served faithfully at Chambers Park Baptist Church in St. Louis until their retirement. Moving back to her home town of Belgrade, Missouri, she served faithfully at Temple Baptist Church, until her illness. That?s where her father and mother were charter members of and he served as one of the first deacons.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Crawford; son David Crawford; sisters Ida Bell Sortor, Dora May Gilliam, Olive Lucille Jenkins; brothers James Tedder, Claude Tedder, Marlin Tedder, Sterlin Tedder and Marvin Tedder.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include two sons Allen Crawford and wife Linda of St. Charles; Don Crawford and wife Carol of Ferguson; daughter Carol Hellwig and husband Lance of Florissant; daughter in law Sharon Kopf and husband Joe of Owensville; ten grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, December 1, 2008 at 10 AM at the Britton Chapel, with Rev. David Hellwig officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Steve Crawford, Kirk Crawford, Jeff Crawford, Dale Crawford, Kevin Crawford and Eric Hellwig.

Interment and final prayers were held at Liberty Baptist Cemetery in Belgrade, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
