Paul Charles Stroup of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on March 25, 2013 at his residence having reached the age of seventy one years, eleven months and twenty two days. He was born on April 3, 1941 in Washington County, Missouri a son to the late John Stroup and Lora (Patterson) Stroup.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Stroup, two infant sons Paul Allen Stroup, Allen Ray Stroup, four brothers Willard Medley, John Medley, Kelly Stroup, Fred Stroup, three sisters Ruby Politte, Ellie Goodson and Hattie Griggs.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are two daughters Pat Revelle of Mineral Point; Penny Britton of Mineral Point; two sisters Rosemary Aubuchon and husband Jim of Caledonia; Carnell Wade of Ironton; six grandchildren Tonya Day and husband Eric, David Revelle and wife Amanda, Eric Stroup and fiancé Emily Hengstenberg, Lee Coleman, Jr., Michael Coleman and wife Jennifer, Brandy Britton; five great grandchildren Breanna Day, Lavondel Day, Jr., Abigail Day, Bryce Eli Stroup, Shania Coleman; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 11 AM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Kenny Gamble officiating. Serving as pallbearers were David Revelle, Eric Stroup, Michael Coleman, Lee Coleman, Jr., David Griggs and Eric Day.
Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
