Paul Saunders

Paul Murel Saunders of Cadet, Missouri passed away on October 28, 2014 at the St. John's Mercy Hospital having reached the age of seventy seven years, eleven months, and eighteen days. He was born on November 10, 1936, a son to the late Ralph Saunders and Mary Helen Boyer.
On February 6, 1960, Paul was united in marriage to Martha (Sansoucie) Saunders in Richwoods, Missouri and they shared 54 years together.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his dear wife Martha Saunders of Cadet, Missouri; three sons: Paul Saunders, Jr. and wife Sandy of Wright City, Missouri, Joseph Saunders and wife Melissa of Cadet, Missouri, and Aaron Saunders of Cadet, Missouri; two daughters: Christine Snyder of Wright City, Missouri and Jennifer Pashia of Cadet, Missouri; two brothers: George Saunders and wife Shelia of Potosi, Missouri and Larry Saunders of Cadet, Missouri; three sisters: Joyce Goodson and husband Ervin of Hopewell, Missouri, Cecelia Slatton of Potosi, Missouri and Lavern Miller of Cadet, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and many other friends and relatives who will sadly miss him.
Along with his parents, Paul is preceded in death by two brothers: Carl Saunders and Marvin Saunders; three sisters: Alice Binniniki, Veronica Hanson, and Audrey McCoy; and one great grandchild Christian Max.
Funeral services for Paul were conducted on Friday, October 31, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church with Father Anthony Dattilo officiating and Monsignor James Hanson and Deacon Ed Boyer Concelebrating. Musical selections were provided by the St. Joachim Choir.
Honoring Paul by serving as his pallbearers were Paul Saunders Jr., Joseph Saunders, Aaron Saunders, Phillip Pashia, Rick Willman and Robert Godier.
Interment and final prayers were held at the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery with military honors presented by the local VFW Post 6996. All arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
