Patricia Ann Politte, also known by family and friends as Pat, of Minera Point, Missouri, was born on July 20, 1951 in Granite City, Illinois, a daughter of the late Paul Eugene Skaggs and Violet Margaret (Coffman) Skaggs. Pat went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, September 22, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 72.
Pat was a longtime member of Covenant Grace Church of God where she previously served as the church secretary. Above all, Pat loved the Lord. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and worshiping the Lord. Pat was a selfless, God fearing, and kindhearted lady. She served for many years as an LPN at Washington County Memorial Hospital. She not only was a nurse but also a caregiver to many. Pat always worried about everyone else except herself. Pat was crafty and liked going to antique stores, junking, and decorating. Pat’s greatest treasures were her grandkids and great grandkids whom she loved with all of her heart.
Those who remain to treasure her memory include her three children: Kevin Politte (wife, Tina), Carla Zettler (husband, John), Cory Politte (wife, Michelle); twelve grandchildren: Brittney (Jessica) Politte, Kasara (Ryan) Portell, Jessica (Brian) Kosteck, Keri Klein and Fiancé Cody Cook, Brandon Klein, Ethan (Hannah) Zetter, Danny (Courtney) Montgomery, Ryan (Darci) Montgomery, Macey (Dylan) Boyer, Bryson Ely, Jayden Montgomery, and Chevel Watkins; sixteen great grandchildren: Lily, Ren, Laila, Benny, Jameson, Luke, Landyn, Mela, Madilyn, Atticus, Kynlee, Kyson, Cobe, Kaleyiah, Reed, and Daisy; four siblings: Donald Skaggs (wife, Rosemary), Pete Skaggs (wife, Donita), Martha Jane Perigen (husband, Ronald), and Rita Sue Owens.
