Pansy Marie Johnson of Belgrade, Missouri formerly of Bourbon, Missouri, was born on October 21, 1917, a daughter to the late Daniel Epple and the late Hattie (Farhner) Epple. On June 25, 1935, Pansy was united in marriage to Albert B. Johnson at St. Louis City Hall and there were five children born to this union.
Pansy passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018 at the Country Meadows Nursing Home having reached one-hundred years of age.
Pansy will be missed by all who knew and loved her including her son, Eric (Sherry) Johnson of Belgrade; two daughters: Aline Bell of Salem and Patricia Rodgers of Alabama; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Johnson; twelve grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many dear nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Pansy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert Johnson; son, Robert Johnson; daughter, Mary Ann Geckler; son-in-law, John Bell; and sister, Violet May.
Pansy loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Throughout the years, she was a faithful parishioner of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Valley Park, St. Anthony Catholic Church of Sullivan and St. James Catholic Church of Potosi. She was devoted to her faith. Pansy loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them. Pansy will continue to live on through the memories she left with those she loved.
Visitation for Pansy will be held at DeClue Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will resume on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 AM, held at St. James Catholic Church, with Father Rodger Fleming officiating.
Interment and final prayers will be held at Bourbon City Cemetery in Bourbon, Missouri.
