Pamela Kay Downen

February 5, 1961 — April 12, 2025

Pamela Kay (Harr) Downen was born on February 5, 1961, in Wyatt Junction, Missouri, a daughter to the late Edward Thomas Harr, Sr. and Mary Ruth (Smith) Compton. Pam passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at her home with her loved ones by her side.

Pam was a proud veteran of the US Army. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her family. She was especially proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them. Pam brought joy to everyone around her.

Pam leaves behind a large family who will miss her dearly. She is survived by her husband, Charles Paul Downen; children: Johnese Underwood, Johnny Underwood, Jr. and Brandi, Angel Cain and Brandon Stone, and Tammy (Cain) Drennen and Daniel Rutledge. Additionally, she is remembered by her step-children: Tori Harrington, Racheal Wright, Josh Gurley, Teresa and Brian McGrael, and Ricky and Amanda Cain. Her beloved grandchildren include Jayden, Kaylee, Gavin, Paisley, Eliana, Ezekiel, Johnny, Logan, Skylar, Kirsten, Amber, and Jennifer, as well as step-grandchildren - Christin, Sarah, Xavier, and many dear others. Her legacy continues with her great-grandchildren: Parker, Braelynn, and Evan. Pam is also survived by her siblings: Kathy Cain, Ruby Daring, Evelyn Harr-Ames, Raymond Harr, and Eddy Harr; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pamela was preceded in death by her father, Ed Harr, Sr. and Liz; her mother, Mary Compton; ex-husband, Ronald Cain; siblings: Debbie Snyder, Caroline "Sissy" and Gerald "Red" Wilhelm; and her nephew, Michael Wilhelm; 

Family and friends are invited to gather and pay their respects at DeClue Funeral Home for a visitation on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Pastor Michael Barton Jr. will officiate Pam's service. Pamela will then be laid to rest at New Diggins Cemetery in Mineral Point, Missouri. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
