Orville Jenkins

October 19, 1949 — May 18, 2009

Orville Theodore Jenkins of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on May 18, 2009 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of fifty nine years, six months and twenty nine days. He was born on October 19, 1949 at Belgrade, Missouri a son to Dorothy Allen Jenkins and the late Dewey Jenkins.

Orville was the oldest brother of ten children. He loved hunting and was a great hunter. He enjoyed being outdoors working in the sun. He took great pride in the house he built with his own two hands from the ground up and was very proud of the products he made. He was quite the perfectionist. He was a member of the Eagles Club. He drove from Belgrade to Fenton everyday to work at Chrysler. After thirty one years of service he finally retired, but sadly his health prevented him from enjoying his retirement years. He loved his family and friends all very much.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life are his mother Dorothy Jenkins of Pacific; daughter Sherry Skiles and husband Bobby of Mineral Point; two sons Robbie Jenkins and Fianc? Becky Kelley of Washington, Missouri; Joey Jenkins of Belgrade; three brothers Jerry Jenkins and wife Diane of Belgrade, Joseph Jenkins and wife Diane of Belgrade, George Jenkins of St. Louis; six sisters Mary Brown and husband Raymond of Arkansas, Patsy Dane of Arkansas, Geraldine Allen and husband Bill of Arkansas, Bernell Glassey and husband Dale of Arnold, Marcia Myers of Arnold, Pamala Timmerman and husband Allen of Pacific; seven grandchildren Megan, Brandi, Dakota, Tristen, Bobby, Vanessa and Gabrielle; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 11 AM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Rev. Jim Wade officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Cody Jenkins, Jarrod Jenkins, Billy Allen, Levi Mansfield, Dale Allen and Jimmy Dane.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Jenkins Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
