Orin Bowles

Orin Lee Bowles of Potosi, Missouri was born on August 8, 1938 in Belgrade, Missouri a son to the late Orin Luther Bowles and the late Leatha (Wade) Bowles. On August 17, 1996 Orin was united in marriage to Mary McColloch and they shared twenty-one years together.

Orin entered eternal rest on September 3, 2017 at DePeres Hospital having reached the age of seventy-nine years and twenty-six days.

Orin will be missed by all those who knew and loved him including his wife, Mary Bowles of Potosi; two sons: Wayne Bowles and wife Vickie of Belgrade; Shawn “Bo” Bowles and wife Timmarie of Belgrade; three daughters: Crystal Courtouise and husband Chuck of Belgrade; Amber DeClue and husband Jason of Belgrade; Heather Hampton and husband Sean of Mineral Point; step son, Roger James and wife Jennifer of Yulee, Florida; step daughter, Robin Helms and husband Keith of Rockford, Illinois; brother: Dean Bowles and wife Kathy of Park Hills; three sisters: Rose Sharon Thompson and husband Rev. Alton of Mineral Point; Robin Smith and husband Rev. Paul of Robertsville, Missouri; Neva June Stone of Potosi; sixteen grandchildren: Cristen Bryan, Timothy Pickett II, Aaron Courtouise, Anthony Bowles, Morris Steiner, Olivia Steiner, Philip Steiner, Graci Bowles, Abygail DeClue, Joshua Miller, Alexis Bowles, Ashlynne James, Ryan Helms, Kelsey Helms, Connor Helms and Kayley Helms; three great grandchildren: Emily and Alex Bryan and Adelyn Brock; also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Orin was preceded in death by his grandson, Caleb Miller; sister-in-law, Carolyn Bowles; brother-in-law, Lester Stone. Also preceding Orin in death are his grandparents: Charles H and Celila (Gilliam) Bowles; Robert C and Irene D (Anderson) Wade; great grandparents: Gustave S and Mildred T (Cravens) Bowles; James C and Mary E (Dicus) Gilliam; Robert C and Elizabeth L (Hood) Wade, Sr.; James N M and Nancy J (Stroup) Anderson; great great grandparents: David J and Julia J (Mackay) Bowles; James S and Temperance A (Bandy) Cravens;William and Sarah (Kennard) Gilliam; John H and Celila (Sloan) Dicus; James F and Nancy J (Hasten) Wade; Thomas and Elizabeth (Kay) Hood; Rachel (Campbell) Anderson; George H and Julia A (Pearce) Stroup.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at the DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Thursday, September 7, from 9-11 a.m. at the Hopewell Church of God.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 7, at 11 a.m. held at the Hopewell Church of God with Rev. Robert Wade officiating assisted by Bro. Sheldon Marler.

Interment and final prayers will be held at the Hopewell Cemetery.
