Opal Harris

Opal Vivian Harris of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on June 28, 2009 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home having reached the age of eighty four years and thirty days. She was born on May 29, 1925 at Potosi, Missouri a daughter to the late Benjamin Conway and Mary Ann Williams Conway.

In addition to her parents, Opal was preceded in death by four sisters Sybil Declue, Viola Conway, Marie Masson, Juanita Kirby, and one brother Marion Conway.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life are a son Ross Roberson and wife Jean of Mineral Point; two daughters Vivian Hampton and husband David of Mineral Point; Joann Cresswell and husband Harold of Lampe; brother Lindell Conway and wife Linda of Potosi; two sisters Ruby Sullivan of St. Louis and Geneva Bay of Park Hills; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 11 AM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Rev. Don Strauser officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Mark Roberson, Craig Cresswell, Brian Cresswell, Sean Hampton, Jacob Hampton and Mike Roberson.

Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
