Odis Ray Free of Berryman, Missouri, entered into eternal rest on January 19, 2016 at his residence having reached the age of eighty seven years, three months and four days. He was born on October 15, 1928 in Lowry, Alabama, son to the late Marion Carlton Free and the late Wilhemina (Pridgen) Free.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by two sisters Merle Weeks and Earline Sturdivant.
Ray is survived by his beloved wife Sarah Louise Free of Berryman, Missouri; son William "Bill" Free and wife Julie of Kaufman, Texas; daughter Brickey Free of Houma, Louisiana; three grandchildren Nathan Voisin and Aaron Voisin both of Houma, Louisiana and Sarah Free of Wylie, Texas; also surviving are extended family and a host of friends.
Ray attended the Potosi Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Potosi Masonic Lodge #131.
Friends may call on the family at the DeClue Funeral Home, Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 4:30-8:00 pm and on Monday, January, 25, 2016 from 9:00-11:00 am.
A Masonic service will take place Sunday evening at 6:00 pm.
A funeral service for Ray will be held Monday, January 25, 2016 at 11:00 am at the DeClue Memorial Chapel.
Interment and final prayers were held at the New Masonic Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri, where Ray will receive full military honors consisting of flag folding and presentation, gun salute and Taps by the United States Air Force and the Local VFW Post 6996. Following the committal service, the family and friends will gather at the Potosi Presbyterian Church for a luncheon.
Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
