Norman Earl Richards of Caledonia, Missouri, was born on February 23, 1936, a son of the late Floyd Richards and Gertrude (Doggett) Richards. Norman passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021, having reached the age of eighty-five years, nine months, and ten days.
On August 24, 1957, Norman was united in marriage to Shirley (Murray) Richards and they shared 64 years of life and memories together before her passing on November 16, 2021.
Those who remain to cherish his memory include his children: Lisa (Steve) Jarvis, Paul (Linda) Richards; grandchildren: Kayla (Adam) Italiano, Taylor (Kristen) Jarvis, Kaitlyn Jarvis, Jason (Maria) Sanders, Dylan Sanders; great-grandchild, Harry Italiano; son-in-law, Dick Sanders; and brother, Sam (Debbie) Richards.
In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Richards; daughter, Kathy Sanders; siblings: Bob Richards, Mary Richards, and Doris Miller.
Norman was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was a gifted musician and played in multiple bands in his lifetime. He had an ear for music and found joy in playing the guitar, banjo, keyboard, fiddle, and various other instruments. He could hear a song a handful of times and play it effortlessly by ear. He was proud of his “One-Man-Band” instrument he built. He enjoyed to fish on his boat and being able to share that time with his family. We cherish our memories with him and he will be in our hearts forever. We find comfort knowing he is reunited with family and friends.
