Norma Stroupe

July 7, 1930 — April 4, 2009

Norma Lee Stroup of Caledonia, Missouri departed this life on April 4, 2009 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center having reached the age of seventy eight years, eight months and twenty eight days. She was born on July 7, 1930 at Quaker, Missouri, a daughter to the late William Henry Blair and Laura Turnbough Blair.

In addition to her parents, Norma Lee was preceded in death by two sons Eddie Stroup and Roger Stroup; eight brothers Lawrence Edger; Lloyd Edger Blair; Willard Blair, Wilburn Blair, Wilber Blair, Herman Blair, Avondel Blair, Norman L. Blair; two sisters Wilma Blair and Wilda Blair; sister in law Zelma Blair; brothers in law Jesse Dawes, George Saunders, Lavern Rothlisberger; six half brothers Guy Blair, Roy Blair and wife Edna, Ira Blair and wife Addie, Narie Blair and wife Julie, Fred Blair, Haskel Blair and wife Lillian; five half sisters Clara, Flora Byington and husband Oliver, Lottie Turnbough and husband Dave, Irene Wilson and husband Roy, Hallie Gilliam and husband Murlin.

Norma Lee was a musician. She played guitars and the accordion. She was an artistic painter; master gardener; enjoyed her job at Valley High School; loved her friends, family and pets.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life are daughter June O?Bannon and husband Tom of Imperial; two sons Randy Stroup of Barnhart; Bill Stroup of Caledonia and fianc? Amy Jones of Desloge; two brothers John Blair of High Ridge; Lindell Blair of Tulsa OK; three sisters Leota Dawes of Caledonia; Bonnie Rothlisberger of Caledonia; Glenna Novy of Lemay; two sisters in law Sherrell Blair of Ironton, Nellie Blair of Potosi; seven grandchildren; twelve Great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Myron Laramore officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Bill Stroup, Tom O?Bannon, Randy Stroup, Doug White, Freeman Capps and Damian Stroup.

Interment and final prayers were held at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
