Norma Reed

Norma Lee Reed of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on September 2, 2010 at her residence having reached the age of seventy seven years, five months and eighteen days. She was born on March 15, 1933 at Palmer, Missouri a daughter to the late Jesse King and Grace (White) King.

In 1957, Norma was united in marriage to George Reed and they shared fifty three years together.

Norma was a member of the Grassy Hollow Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by a son Gene Wilkerson; daughter Gracie Marie Reed and a sister Dolly Coleman.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are her husband George Reed of Potosi; son Jim Wilkerson and wife Joyce of Mineral Point; sister Betty Gillam of Potosi; extended family Elmer Reed, Melvin Reed, James Reed, Ruth Glore, Helen Franklin, Betty Abbey, Wayne Reed, Roger Reed, Terry Reed, Hope Jarvis; eight grandchildren Jason Wilkerson and fiancé Melissa Maness, Amy Schutz and fiancé Lowell Turner, Brian Moore, April Winters and husband Cory, Janelle Wilkerson, Juilie Wilkerson, Stacy Lappe and husband Jason, and Billy Wilkerson; eighteen great grandchildren, Kiri Patton, Jason Wilkerson Jr., Kegan Moore, B.J. Moore, Mikey Moore, Ean Moore, Darcy Moore, Eli Moore, Megan Schutz, Emma Schutz, Samantha Charboneau, Breanna Winters, Caleb Winters, Jaren Wilkerson, Zoe Wilkerson, Logan Wilkerson, Ashley Lappe, Jonah Lappe, Emma Lappe, Savannah Williams and Hannah Schwendemann; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Norma Lee was held on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at 2 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Mike Jarvis officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Lee Phipps, Wayne Reed, Ed Reed, Corey Winters, Lowell Turner, and Brian Moore.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Grassy Hollow Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home, “Because every life has a story”.
